Known as the Dry Process, Natural Processing is the old school way to process coffee. After picking the coffee Cherries from the trees, they are spread out in thin layers to dry in the sun.

Roasting brings our the Aroma and Flavor that is locked in the green beans. We only use high quality roasting equipment to bring out the taste.
The tasting technique used by Cafe El Abuelo is called coffee cupping or cup tasting. This is how coffee is tasted by producers and buyers around the world to check the quality of a batch of coffee. In cupping, coffees are scored for aspects such as cleanness, sweetness, acidity, mouthfeel and aftertaste.
